Ukraine Russia’s Lukoil violates law, finances terrorists
KIEV, Jan 16 (PRIME) -- Ukraine’s Security Service has launched criminal proceedings under a terrorism financing case against Russian oil company Lukoil and Ukrainian group of companies VETEK, Markiyan Lubkivsky, advisor to the service’s head, said on his Facebook page on Friday.
“Ukraine’s Security Service is documenting a severe violation of current oil products legislation and sales of the products on the territory of Ukraine by business entities, comprising Lukoil and VETEK groups of companies, with received funds being used to finance illegal and terroristic so-called Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics,” Lubkivsky said.
Lukoil and VETEK could not be reached for comment.
